Meet the Team

 

With over 20 years of experience in the dental sector Dr Samia Khan has revolutionised Stonydelph Dental Practice to where it has reached today. 2021 marks the 10 year anniversary of her ownership of this practice and what a journey it has been!

Her passion for dentistry is demonstrated in her care for patients and working with some of the most challenging of cases to achieve the best results for them. Through her strong leadership skills she encourages and motivates staff to strive to always be the best that they can be both in and outside of work.

She has achieved postgraduate qualifications in Cosmetic & Aesthetic Dentistry, Endodontics and has a special interest in Orthodontics, Furthermore, she gained experience with managing anxious patients, having trained in sedation at Birmingham Dental Hospital and Community Dental Clinics.

Samia works very closely within the dental community, holding positions of Council member for the British Dental Association Central Counties Section and Committee Member for the South Staffs Local Dental Committee.

She has always worked with charitable causes since a young age and more recently her charitable work took her to Greece as a volunteer dentist with health-point foundation providing dental care for people who were desperately in need for dental treatments.

Out of dentistry she enjoys cooking and experimenting with new cuisines and to relax she practices Yoga. She also has a love for cats and for those who know her well will be very familiar with her Romeo!

Charlotte Edden

Dental Nurse

Charlotte joined the practice on 4th September 2023 after previously working in another dental practice for over 4 years. She started her career as an apprentice dental nurse in 2013, and qualified in 2015. Charlotte enjoys interacting with patients and putting them at ease when they come for appointments.

 

In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews, going to the cinema, and baking.

Apprenticeship

Dental Nurse

Sarah joined us in March 2023 with excitement to start her apprenticeship as a Dental Nurse. She has always had an interest in dentistry and caring for others.

Sarah has thoughts about her career and wishes to pursue a job in Hygiene Therapy!  She is settling in well and has already built a rapport with the staff and patients.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys going for walks with her family and her dog Bella. She has recently just passed her theory and is eager to get out on the road in her new car!

Jenny English

Apprenticeship Dental Nurse

Jenny started with October 2023 as an Apprenticeship Dental Nurse; she has always wanted to do Dentistry and has a passion to become a Dental Hygienist!

Jenny has worked in customer service jobs since leaving school, she enjoys the interactions with the patients and helping them feel comfortable whilst in Surgery. She has built a rapport with the staff and is excited to build one with all the patients!

When Jenny isn’t working hard on her Apprenticeship, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the gym and travelling when she can!

Denise Harvey

Practice Manager
Practice Complaints Manager

Denise joined Stonydelph in 2015 after being a patient at the practice for almost 30 years. Her role within the practice was to greet the patients and make them feel welcome and at ease.


Denise was promoted to Reception Supervisor sharing a Managers role with the Lead Nurse, ensuring the business was running smoothly and also making sure the Reception staff was trained in all aspects. More recently, Denise was Promoted to Practice Manager, part of her role is to ensure all the staff are happy within their role.


Denise loves working within the community, hence having 2 qualifications working within our community and fundraising  through Staffordshire County Council. In Denise's spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and young grand children. Denise did an extra course on Mental Health and qualified in February 2023, also in March 2023 Denise started a ILM Management course which was completed in July 2023!

Katie previously worked as Front of House for a Garden Centre for nearly 5 years, she enjoyed the interaction with customers and learning new skills.


Katie applied for the Customer Service Apprentice here at Stonydelph and ever since has grown in confidence and knowledge. Since starting in February 2022, she has now completed her apprenticeship and received a distinction! Katie enjoys the interaction with patients and building a rapport with all patients and staff and making sure the patient journey is as smooth as possible. 


In her spare time she loves being with her family and friends, going for meals and walks. 

Eden joined us in November 2023, she came from hospitality and retail jobs wanting a complete new challenge!

Eden enjoys the interaction with the patients and answering any queries, she has settled in really well with the staff and has helped make the practice run smoother! She is excited to help all the patients through their journey and building a good rapport.

In her spare time, Eden loves going on nature walks with her friends, shopping and travelling. When Eden gets the chance to travel she will always have a book by her side – she loves anything from thrillers to true crime.

Amy Leedham

Amy started her career as a Dental Nurse qualifying with a Diploma in Dental Nursing, she then went on and graduated from Liverpool school of dentistry with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Dental Therapy,


Amy enjoyed her university experience as she is a very sociable person, meeting and interacting with different people is what made her excited to start her career in dental therapy.


Amy can’t wait to get to know the patients within the practice and broaden her skills.
Amy enjoys her active life, going to the gym weekly, playing squash and badminton but most importantly she loves being an animal mom to her two dogs, Ruby and Rufus and her cat Sid! Coming from a large family, she is very family and friend orientated, cooking is her therapy, so if you need any tips don’t hesitate to ask!

Housekeeper

Amy started working for Stonydelph Dental Practice in 2018 as a relief Housekeeper, after several months she was invited to keep the role on a permanent basis. Amy is passionate making sure the practice is a safe and clean environment for all patients and staff.


In her spare time she enjoys shopping and socialising with her family and friends.
