What is a Filling?
When a tooth has decayed or it is broken it may require a filling to stabilise and strengthen the structure. We offer a range of materials to restore fillings including dental amalgam (silver filling) and cosmetic white fillings for those who may be more conscious of their smile.
What is a Composite Filling?
When you ask us for a ‘white filling’ we use a composite resin filling material, which can be very closely matched to the colour of your own tooth. As the filling is chemically bonded to the tooth it requires much less preparation than having an amalgam filling, which is mechanically retained.
